Aerial Silks and Lyra Classes Gold Coast

Chadwick Studios is not just any old Gold Coast Dance School. Chadwick’s now has a number of kid’s aerial classes throughout the week that you can Trial For Free as well. Elegant and sophisticated, the combination of strength, artistry and flexibility, aerial silks and aerial lyra (aerial hoop) are now available at your local Burleigh heads dance school.

Our experienced aerial coach current guides students through classes for a period of 1 hour. Classes are held over a 10 weeks period in conjunction with public school terms. Throughout these 10 weeks students will be able to learn both aerial silks and lyra (aerial hoop) while being supported by think safety crash mats.

Aerial Students will learn proper technique and form at the same time as building flexibility, endurance and strength. Chadwick studios aerial students can feel confident and safe during class as they begin an extremely rewarding journey into the aerial arts.

Silks

When students learn the art of Aerial silks they will climb two lengths of fabric with are suspended from the ceiling. Students are protected by thick crash mats with are placed underneath each silk apparatus. With some practice students have the ability to learn tricks, sequences, wraps locks and drops.

Lyra

When student learn the art of Aerial Lyra, also known as Arial Hoops, the will suspended over some thick crash mats and rely on a lot of strength based moves to be able to performer a number of amazing tricks and sequences. During class students will study flexibility, endurance, strength, form and technique exercises in order to safely perform spins, rolls, inversions and drops correctly.
